“Social media isn’t for car dealerships.
We don’t have time to post on Facebook.
No one cares what we have to say.”
Does this sound like your dealership? If so- you may want to rethink your answers. Social media IS for dealerships and hey- if you do it correctly, IT WORKS!
Still don’t believe us? Well, we put together the top 5 ways to use social media to sell more cars.
-
Find the right social network for your business
You might be asking yourself right now Which Social Networks are Right for My Business? If you’re just starting out in the social world, creating a Facebook page should be the first thing you do. With over 1 billion daily active users, a Facebook Page gives your business an online presence and a way to engage with people who like your business.
-
Create the right content
With the right kind of educational content, your posts will be liked, commented on and shared by your followers and be seen by all of their friends. Keep your info current & relevant to consumers’ needs. Share product info, industry news & updates, behind the scenes pictures of the dealership and happy customers with their brand new vehicle. Think about the questions your consumers have and answer those questions you’re your social posts. Don’t bombard people with multiple posts a day, this can get annoying and people can easily unfollow you.
-
Facebook Ads- targeting the right clientele
With Facebook Ads, you choose the type of people you want to reach. Having a sale on SUVs or Minivans? Target new or growing families- and add soccer moms to the mix. You can easily target ads by location, age, gender, interests, car buying behavior and much more. Make sure your ads are being seen by the right people or all your hard work will not pay off.
-
Interact with your Social “Fans”
Engagement helps your brand. Plain and Simple. It’s a way to build relationships with your customers and potentially attract new customers. Always respond to questions and comments. No one likes to feel ignored, so acknowledging your customer’s posts and comments leaves a good impression and makes them feel special. Also- people like talking to real people, when replying back to customers try not to sound like a robot or overly “salesy”.
-
Reputation Management
Social media has made it easier for people to share their buying experience with the world. Whether they had an amazing buying experience or a negative one, they’ll be sure to write all about it on Facebook, Google+, Yelp or Cars.com. This can either make or break your online presence. If your Facebook or Yelp dealership page is filled with negative reviews with no responses or action from your dealership, why would anyone want to buy a car from you? You need a plan to manage your online reputation and we’re here to help. Check out our blog to learn Building Online Relationships to Sell More Cars.
